Alexander Maedche is director for product strategy & definition enterprise information management/end-user productivity, SAP NetWeaver at SAP AG at Walldorf, Germany. From 2006–2007, he was a product strategist for the areas Germany enterprise content management, collaboration and Web 2.0 technologies at SAP AG in Walldorf, Germany. From 2003–2006 he was manager for business intelligence services and solutions at Corporate IT, Bosch Group in Stuttgart, Germany. From 2001–2003, Maedche headed a research group in the area of next generation web applications in the applied research center for computer science in Karlsruhe, Germany. Maedche holds a Ph.D. in applied computer science and a master’s in industrial engineering, both from University of Karlsruhe, Germany.
