Bill Pieser is Chief Technology Officer of the LexisNexis Specialty Business Unit responsible for strategic planning, technology roadmap, and systems architecture across a line of publishing and services divisions. He oversees the search and informatics assets of a broad range of web and internal applications serving thousands of clients. He is a specialist in metadata management and semantic search implementations. Bill has over 25 years of leadership experience in information sciences in aerospace, network management, ERP, and vertical market solutions. He has been closely associated with Microsoft development tools and frameworks since 1987, including a founding member of the original 12 SQL Server for OS/2 v1.0 missionaries, and beta tester for such early releases as NT 3.5, Windows for Workgroups 3.1, MSC 5.1 and 6.0, Excel 2.1, and .NET 1.0.
