Christine Maxwell is recognized as one of the leading women entrepreneurs in information technology. As a successful Internet content pioneer she is well known as the creator, co-developer, and publisher of MAGELLAN - one of the first ever Internet Yellow pages to appear on the home page of Netscape in the early 90's. Here she developed the content framework for the first combined online directory and search engine. She also created and authored the first hard copy Internet Yellow Pages under the title, "New Riders Official Internet Yellow Pages" published by the New Riders imprint of Macmillan Publishers. Christine went on to co-found Chiliad software. The Company's Discovery Alert software is used widely in US Homeland Security -including the creation of a new Information Sharing Environment to connect US intelligence agencies. Christine has spent many years researching and developing E-content processes to help users validate the information that they find. She has long experience and expertise working in the information technology and information broker sectors (since 1982). Most recently she has been focussing her entrepreneurial talents on the problems of Mobile search and in the field of digital preservation. Her expertise extends to knowledge acquisition design, and designing E-trust,and online reputation processes.
