Harald Kirsch studied computer science at the RWTH Aachen before working as a researcher at the Fraunhofer Gesellschaft, Germany's largest research organization for applied research. He then moved on to LION bioscience in Heidelberg, Germany, where he worked on text mining and information extraction before joining the European Bioinformatics Institute in Cambridge, UK. Today, he works for Raytion, an international operating consultancy for information management and corporate communications focused on enterprise search. Harald Kirsch is currently a project lead for enterprise search projects in Germany, Switzerland and the US.
