Delivering on the Promise of Search

Promises, promises! For years, enterprise search has promised to increase information discoverability, enhance corporate performance and profitability, and transform workplaces. It's time to deliver on these promises!

New technologies, next generation information access, and novel approaches to search and discovery are on the agenda for 2015. We'll look at how to improve speed and relevancy, sound the death knell to those dreaded "blue lists" of results, and debate the merits of various technologies. We'll consider the role of information governance as it affects search and discovery. We'll investigate the intriguing challenges presented by mobile devices. And you can be part of this!

We seek dynamic speakers who can speak not only about the technical aspects of enterprise search but also about the business implications of successful deployments. We are also looking for people to present half-day workshops. This is an exhilarating time for enterprise-wide innovations, as they directly affect mission-critical operations.

The many aspects of search and discovery include customers finding products, companies monetizing real time activities, and organizations maximizing the data they own. Leveraging internal data in light of cloud computing, outcome-based metrics, adaptive filtering, taxonomy and metadata tools, predictive analysis, open source, knowledge graphs, and mobile delivery raises people's expectations for search and discovery. Add Big Data into the mix and we have many promises on which to deliver! Let's rethink how to handle search, databases, analysis, and decision-making. Contribute your experiences, your knowledge, your insights, and your successes at Enterprise Search & Discovery 2015.

How have information search and discovery issues and challenges affected you? Have you found a solution that works well in your environment? Have you switched technologies, formulated new strategies, or moved to different platforms? Has findability increased within your organization? Are you adopting different approaches to search and discovery? How are you measuring success?

The audience at Enterprise Search & Discovery is well informed and tech-savvy. We're looking for speakers who can 'wow' this audience with their insights into designing enterprise search and discovery so that it empowers business operations, enhances user experience, and allows workplace innovation to occur. We would like a mix a formal presentations and interactive panel participation. Case studies of search (both internal and customer facing), social networks, ecommerce, or any combination are particularly welcome. Feel free to suggest something different from the normal conference presentation.
