Renee Braden oversees the Archives, Special Collections and Records Management programs for the National Geographic Society in Washington DC. In addition to responsibility for collections, she and her staff work with all editorial and business areas- domestic and international- to develop content and products from heritage materials. They are also responsible for creating original content for print, online, mission activities, and special events. Renee holds a B.A. in European History from Mary Washington College, an M.A. in European History and Applied History from George Mason University. She is a Certified Archivist, a member of the business archives round-table for the Society of American Archivists, and president of OHMAR - Oral History in the Mid-Atlantic Region. She has presented at numerous conferences and events.
